One Less Karen is married acoustic duo Jim and Robin Layton - who share equally in the writing of their original music, guitar playing and vocals.

 

The couple met in 1997 when Robin mosied right up to the stage that Jim was performing on and boldly asked if she could join in on a song. Instantly, the two knew their voices were meant to be heard together, and the rest is history.

For decades Jim and Robin have enjoyed many musical accomplishments. They released 4 full-length albums, opened for musicians Ellis Paul and Sandy Ross and performed live at too many park districts, festivals, bookstores, radio stations, coffee shops, benefits, bars and clubs to count.

Audiences always appreciate this "energetic, upbeat duo." During their performances, it quickly becomes apparent that they are just as excited to share their original music with the crowds as their fans are to receive it.
